Keyboard shortcuts
Every keyboard shortcut in the Metaspry extension and web app - switch tabs, search, scan again, jump between pages - and how to turn them off.
Last verified against the web app (547aebd) and extension 1.0.27.
Single-key shortcuts work when you are not typing: they are ignored inside a text field, a dropdown or an editable area, and when Ctrl, Alt or Cmd is held. Both the extension and the web app let you turn them off.
In the extension
| Key | Action |
|---|---|
1 - 6 | Switch to Tags, Previews, Audit, Site, AI, Compare |
/ | Go to the Tags tab and focus its search |
r | Scan the current page again |
? | Show or hide the shortcuts help |
Esc | Close the open layer: Settings, the shortcuts help, History or the account menu |
In the tab bar, the Left and Right arrows, Home and End move between tabs. While Settings or the shortcuts help is open, Tab and Shift+Tab stay inside it, and closing it puts focus back on the button that opened it.
Extension 1.0.25, the current Chrome Web Store release, switches tabs with 1 - 5 only and its help sheet still lists 1 - 4; 6 for Compare and the on/off switch below come with 1.0.27.
In the web app
| Key | Action |
|---|---|
? | Show or hide the shortcuts help |
/ | Focus the Scan box on the Dashboard |
g then d | Go to the Dashboard |
g then h | Go to History |
g then b | Go to Bulk audit |
g then m | Go to Monitor |
g then s | Go to Saved |
g then t | Go to Tasks |
1 - 6 | Switch tabs on a scan page |
s | Swap the two sides on Compare |
Esc | Close the open dialog |
Press g and then the letter within about a second. g s goes to Saved; it never also swaps on Compare.
