Scan a URL
Audit any page straight from the Metaspry web app - no extension needed on that machine.
The extension audits the page you’re looking at. Sometimes you just want to check a URL without opening it in Chrome first - a competitor’s page, a staging link, a page on a machine where you haven’t installed the extension. That’s what Scan a URL is for.
How it works
In the web app, paste a URL and run it. Metaspry fetches the page and runs the same audit the extension runs:
- The weighted 0-100 score across all 19 audit rules.
- The full tag breakdown.
- Social previews for every supported platform.
- The site-file and AI-crawler checks for the page’s host.
The result lands in your cloud history like any other scan, so you can come back to it, share it, or compare it later.
Pro feature
Scan a URL lives in the web app and is part of Pro, alongside cloud sync and bulk audit.
