Install + first scan

Add Metaspry to Chrome and run your first audit in under a minute.

Install

Open the Chrome Web Store listing and click Add to Chrome. The extension installs immediately; no account required.

Open the side panel

Pin the extension to your toolbar (Extensions menu -> pin icon). Click the icon. The side panel opens to the Landing view.

Run your first scan

Click Get Meta Tags. The extension scrapes the active tab using chrome.scripting.executeScript, then renders four tabs:

  • Tags - every <meta> element on the page, categorized.
  • Previews - how Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Discord, Slack, Google SERP, and iMessage will render the page.
  • Audit - weighted 0-100 score across 12 rules.
  • Site - robots.txt, sitemap.xml, llms.txt fetched from the page’s host.

Pin tags across pages

Click the star icon on any tag card. Pinned tags sort to the top of the Tags tab on every subsequent page you scan. Useful for tracking the same key across a multi-page audit.

Re-scrape

Bottom button: Re-scrape this page. Always available in the results view.

Next steps

  • Read Audit rules to understand each score line item.
  • Read Site files for how the robots/sitemap/llms detection works (including sitemap-index expansion).
